Rawlins Rehabilitation and Wellness is seeking a Certified Medication Assistant (MA-C) to administer prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of the Nurse. Essential functions include verifying the identity of the resident receiving medication and recording the name of the drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms. The MA-C will present medication to the resident and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication, using specified processes. They will also take vital signs or observe the resident to detect response to specified types of medications and prepare reports. The role involves documenting reasons prescribed drugs are not administered, receiving supply of ordered medications and apportioning, mixing, or assembling drugs for administration to residents, and recording and restocking medication inventories.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include the ability to understand, plan, and carry out care plans and treatments. The education, licensure, and experience needed are a current, unencumbered CNA certificate with successful completion of CNA II training, one year of Certified Nursing Assistant experience, successful completion of training approved by the State for Certified Medication Assistants, and current Certification as a MA-C.
