Primary function of this position is to process vehicle sales. The job includes verifying costs for the accounting department and handling the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process all new and used vehicle sales for registration in the state in which the vehicle will be titled including the preparation of tax documents.
- Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles in a timely fashion.
- Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications. And v erifying accuracy in the applicable legal documents to ensure that all information is accurate and complete.
- Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles.
- Comply and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work. Report list to management including a current list of outstanding titles to the Office Manager at the end of each month.
- Prepare transfer documents for used wholesale transactions.
- Maintain records and post purchases of new and used vehicles.
- Process yearly renewal of dealer tags in conjunction with Office Manager.
- Stay abreast of title regulations.
- Respond to customer questions accurately and courteously when dealing with title related questions.
