Summary Statement
This is the supervisory level of security officer work, responsible for maintaining the safety and security of visitors, clients, residents, and facility staff by monitoring and protecting state property from trespass, fire, theft, and other hazards. In addition to work performed at the Security Officer level, employees perform and supervise security work, resolve escalated issues, and ensure the proper training and performance of security staff.

Conditions of Hire
All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.

Selection Process
The application and supplemental questionnaire are evaluated based upon a rating of your education, training and experience as they relate to the job requirements of the position.
