Junior Attorney

Description We are looking for an entry-level Attorney to join a reputable law firm in Berkeley, California, specializing in labor and employment law. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with public entities and non-profit organizations, providing legal guidance on various complex matters while developing your expertise in litigation and advisory services. Responsibilities :

• Assist senior attorneys in handling employment litigation cases, including drafting motions and preparing briefs.
• Participate in arbitration and administrative hearings, ensuring thorough preparation and representation.
• Support workplace investigations by analyzing evidence and contributing to detailed reports.
• Develop and deliver training programs for clients on labor and employment law compliance.
• Provide strategic advice to public entities and non-profits on complex labor and employment issues.
• Conduct legal research and draft discovery documents to support case development.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless case management and client service.
• Maintain flexibility in billable hour requirements to achieve a sustainable work-life balance.
• Stay updated on labor and employment law developments to enhance legal strategies.
• Build strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and long-term partnerships. Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar and licensed to practice law.
• Strong academic background with excellent legal writing skills.
• Familiarity with civil litigation processes and procedures.
• Ability to draft motions, briefs, and discovery documents with precision.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and teamwork.
• Interest or experience in labor and employment law is preferred but not mandatory.
