Heavy Assembler

JOB SUMMARY

Perform all assembly operations necessary to assemble assigned parts in accordance to provided specifications and processes. In more complex project orders the candidate assembles large agitator equipment, and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications by performing the following duties.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Aligns components, for fit, form and function and fastens them together using acceptable mechanical practices.
• Plans assembly procedures, following specifications from blueprints and related documentation both written and verbal.
• Inspects components and ensures acceptable quality standards.
• Ability to use a variety of hand, power tools and material handling equipment along with measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, dial indicators and torque equipment.
• Ability to rig and maneuver large heavy materials using proper equipment such as 10-ton crane while working in a confined space environment or with assembly built and test equipment.
• 5S Area daily
• Other relevant duties may be assigned to cover departmental needs.

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands, fingers, handle or feel, talk, see and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds. Use of the appropriate PPE is required.

This job operates in a manufacturing professional office environment. The employee can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and loud noise level while on the production floor.

Anticipated salary range for this position : $43,700 / yr. to $80,780 / yr. The anticipated salary range is what we believe to be the likely base salary range for this position at the time of posting. Actual salary for this position will depend on relevant qualifications, skills, and experience.
