We are looking for a detail-oriented Part Time Accounting Clerk 20-25 hours a week to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting our property management department with a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. Your contributions will help ensure smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping within our organization.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with accounts payable processes, including reviewing and processing invoices efficiently.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records and identify discrepancies.
- Support credit card statement reviews and ensure proper allocations.
- Utilize accounting software, such as Yardi and QuickBooks, to manage financial data effectively.
- Process payments through systems like AvidExchange and ensure timely transactions.
- Provide administrative support to the department, ensuring organized documentation and workflow.
- Collaborate on remedial collections and move-out processes, including in-house collections.
- Handle invoicing tasks with attention to detail, even during light invoicing cycles.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when working with sensitive financial information.
- Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze data and produce reports as needed.
- Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoice processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Yardi.
- Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets.
- Familiarity with payment systems like AvidExchange is preferred.
- Ability to handle financial data with a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to adapt to new software quickly.
- Prior administrative experience within an accounting or property management setting is a plus.
