Job description

The Breakfast Attendant at the Hampton Inn & Suites Toledo / Perrysburg is responsible for preparing and providing the highest quality of service possible to guests in an efficient and courteous manner during the complimentary breakfast of a hotel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
  • Ensuring that bar, food, and service areas are stocked, organized, clean and neat and all side work is complete during each shift.
  • Prepare breakfast items and restock as needed during service hours.
  • Communicate with all departments regarding in-house VIPs and any special requests / needs.
  • Support all areas of the beverage and food service as necessary.
  • Share knowledge of the hotel, its amenities and menu options.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Primary availability on weekends, must be able to work a varied schedule that includes early mornings and holidays.
  • Must have basic English verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to obtain food handlers certification as required.
  • Physical ability to perform job function with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • Be proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a hotel or a related field.
  • Previous food and beverage experience.
