Chief Engineer

Position Purpose :

This individual is responsible to maintain the entire hotel facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs. Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain an attractive hotel. Adhere to all management company required purchasing policies and controls including the PO (purchase order) process. Follow prescribed safety procedures for personnel and equipment by the company and OSHA. Maintain effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs and conduct special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel as needed.

Reports to : Property General Manager and Area Director of Engineering Chief Engineer – Primary Tasks / Responsibilities : Respond to maintenance work orders and requests from departments and handle based on priority of issue(s).

NOTICE :

The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
