Real Estate Associate Opportunity - Acclaimed Mid-Size Practice Group, Austin

An established commercial law firm with a highly collegial environment and solid client base across varied practice areas, is currently seeking a  Real Estate Associate Attorney  to join their team full-time.

The firm maintains a team-based environment and provides a solid path to partnership.

The salary for this role will be market-competitive and commensurate with experience, with generous performance-based bonuses, and benefits suite.

Originations are incentivised, and business development is encouraged supportively.

Key Responsibilities of the Position

  • Represent clients in the acquisition, development, financing, and disposition of commercial, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, easements, restrictive covenants, and development agreements
  • Advise on title and survey matters and coordinate due diligence reviews
  • Work with lenders and borrowers on commercial real estate financing, including construction and permanent loans
  • Support complex entity structuring and joint venture transactions
  • Collaborate with team members across practice areas to deliver strategic and efficient solutions

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
  • 4–7 years of commercial real estate experience, ideally gained in a law firm or sophisticated in-house setting
  • Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating key real estate transaction documents
  • Experience handling title and survey review, closings, and financing documentation
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working directly with clients
