Security Officer - Distribution Center - Full Time

As a security officer in the distribution center in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as logistics and distribution.

As a screener, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for visitors, employees, and assets. Your presence and attentiveness help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule : Daytime

Wednesday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Thursday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Friday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Sunday 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations
  • Monitor and screen individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location to help deter unauthorized access and / or prohibited items
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary according to established protocols
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help deter potential security-related incidents and / or suspicious activity
  • Complete documentation and reports related to screening activities, incidents, and / or observations as required by Allied Universal and the site
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and / or drivers to provide assistance and information as needed
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help deter security-related risks within the logistics and distribution environment

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
