Husbandry Technician II

Creighton University is seeking to hire a full time Husbandry Technician. Weekday hours are 7-3 : 30. Overtime may be required. Rotating holidays and weekends are also part of the job. Starting pay at $17 per hour (or more) based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Performs various tasks for animals housed in the University Animal Resource Facility for experimental research and teaching purposes, according to procedures established by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee and conforming to USDA and NIH regulations. Responsibilities include feeding, watering, cage cleaning / changing, and sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of related experience working with animals strongly preferred (veterinary tech, zoo, pet store, etc...
• Must be extremely reliable and detail oriented
