Temporary Accounts Payable Data Entry Specialist
Location : Emeryville, CA (Hybrid)
Duration : Temporary Assignment
Schedule : Full-time, Monday-Friday
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounts Payable Data Entry Specialist to support our finance team. This hybrid position requires 2-3 days per week in our Emeryville office. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with QuickBooks Desktop and strong data entry skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and process accounts payable invoices accurately into QuickBooks Desktop
- Match purchase orders with invoices and receiving documents
- Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts
- Process vendor payments and maintain vendor files
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Scan and file AP documentation electronically and physically
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Generate AP aging reports and other financial reports as needed
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information
Required Qualifications
MUST HAVE : Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier, or Enterprise)High school diploma or equivalentProven experience in accounts payable and data entryStrong attention to detail with 98%+ accuracy rateProficiency in Microsoft Excel and OutlookAbility to process high volumes of invoices efficiently10-key proficiency (8,000+ KPH preferred)Preferred Qualifications
Experience with purchase order systemsKnowledge of basic accounting principlesExperience in a fast-paced environmentWork Requirements
Ability to work on-site in Emeryville 2-3 days per weekReliable transportation to Emeryville officeAvailable for immediate startAble to commit to full assignment durationCompensation
Hourly rate : $22-28 / hour DOETemporary position with potential for extension based on business needs
