- Salary Range : $99,600 - $132,000 with a potential for bonus.
What are the Key Responsibilities of this role?
Planned Maintenance :
Lead the Maintenance & Reliability team and be responsible for up-time and equipment life across the plant, including manufacturing equipment, utilities and facilities.Design and implementation of an effective spare parts control system to secure 100% adherence to planned maintenance schedules is deliveredPlanned maintenance completion to ensure optimal performance and operational efficiency are delivered to meet customer service levelsPlanning and completion required maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety regulation, environmental standards and internal company policies is achievedCoordination of reactive maintenance of the plant equipment to minimise efficiency lossesRoot cause analysis of any asset related failures resulting downtime and performance losses; implementation of robust countermeasures to prevent recurrence in futureEffective planning, coordination and management of works carried out by external contractors for specialized maintenance activitiesDevelopment of maintenance plans for new introduced assets in collaboration with OEMMonitoring and control of asset related changes on siteHealth & Safety :
Adherence to site health and safety, and legislative requirements through personal responsibility and engagement of all team membersEnsuring all maintenance activities compliant to safety regulations, environmental standards and company policies.Cost control and Inventory Management :
Supporting annual budgeting cycle with a generation of annual maintenance plans and bills of materials in line with communicated timelinesCollaborates with OEMs and maintenance supervisor and operation teams to establish optimal minimum and maximum stock levels for spare parts, minimizing working capital requirements.Spare parts, consumables and critical components stock accuracy levels managementImplementation of activities on time to meet planned maintenance budget controlMinor Cap-Ex expenditure management (as applicable)People Management :
Leading, motivating, coaching and developing direct reportsProvides guidance as to enhance competence through regular competency assessments for maintenance teamsContinuous Improvement
Tracking key performance indicators related to maintenanceIdentify opportunities to improve performance across site through capturing asset related data (MES)Requirements
What are the Critical success factors for the Role?
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environmentAt least 10 years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing management, including a minimum of 5 years as a Maintenance Engineering ManagerStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and other relevant engineering systemsProven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of engineers, maintenance supervisors and maintenance professionalsComprehensive knowledge of safety standards and practices, including applicable OSHA regulations and procedures.Degree in engineering or a related field -Utilizes a data-driven, analytical approach to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlinesStrong cross-functional collaboration and communication skillsProficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and other relevant softwareDemonstrated ability to effectively influence others and lead a unionized maintenance team.Benefits
