Job Summary
As a member of the Facility Resource Pool, you will provide exceptional clinical direction in an acute inpatient setting, focusing on patient and family-centered care. You will utilize evidence-based practices throughout all stages of the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to safety protocols, cost containment, and quality improvement in care delivery.
In this role, you will be expected to adhere to all organizational compliance and policies, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are met at all times. This position requires flexibility to float to various nursing units and may include weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts.
Essential Functions

- Collect and assess patient data accurately using appropriate standards and tools.
- Collaboratively develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and the healthcare team, adapting as needed based on patient condition.
- Set realistic goals for patient care and engage patients / families in the planning process.
- Respect and incorporate cultural, spiritual, and individual beliefs of patients in care planning.
- Plan for smooth transitions post-discharge, ensuring continuity of care through appropriate referrals.
- Provide direct, compassionate care consistent with nursing plans.
- Delegates tasks appropriately to fellow healthcare team members, ensuring completion.
- Continuously monitor and ensure the quality of care delivered to patients.
- Prioritize patient safety and optimize care through effective resource utilization.
- Leverage technology to enhance patient care.
- Engage in performance improvement activities and monitor nursing care effectiveness.
- Evaluate care plans based on patient responses, adapt as necessary, and communicate effectively with the team.
- Identify and address patient / family education needs, utilizing clear communication and resources.
- Reflect on and maintain professional practice standards and licensure, engaging in personal development.
- Document and communicate patient care information accurately and succinctly.
- Act as an advocate for patients, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Management Responsibility
This role does not include management responsibilities and reports to a supervisor or manager.Minimum Requirements
Education : Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.Experience : Two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse.Certifications and Licenses Required
Registered Nurse license in South Carolina.Work Shift
