Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital Night shifts : 3x12 hours, 18 : 45 - 07 : 15 Weekend schedule includes every other weekend or 2 weekends per month On-call required : 2 shifts per 6-week schedule period Float to other units required based on need and clinical experience Nurse-patient ratios : 1 : 2 during labor and 1 : 8 for postpartum / couplets Travel experience is required for all specialties Cerner EMR is used, EMR experience preferred Main responsibilities include providing care to laboring patients and mothers in the postpartum period Floating aligned with Joint Commission standards and appropriate clinical orientation is provided before working unfamiliar units Required to complete orientation modules during onboarding and annually Holiday RTO requests cannot be accommodated for major holidays and holiday weeks; any holiday time off must be discussed onsite with the manager No blocked scheduling is allowed Candidates must adhere to a 75-mile radius rule for eligibility Requirements Active TN or compact RN license in hand Minimum 2 years of current Labor and Delivery RN experience Current certifications required : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS, NRP, and AWHONN Licenses and certifications cannot expire within 45 days of assignment start date and must be in hand at time of consideration Cannot have been perm staff at the same campus within the last 24 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-639566.
