Job Title: SAP Project Systems (PS) Consultant – Senior (Utility Capital Projects Mandatory) Location: Michigan, USA (Hybrid) Position Type: Contract Only W2

Job Description: We are hiring a Senior SAP PS Consultant with mandatory utility capital project experience. You will configure and support the SAP PS module to manage large-scale infrastructure projects such as grid upgrades, renewable energy installations, pipeline replacements, and substation expansions—ensuring alignment with regulatory and financial standards. Key Responsibilities:

Lead SAP PS configuration for utility capital projects, including WBS, networks, activities, cost planning, budgeting, and settlement.

Manage project settlement to AUC (Asset Under Construction) and fixed assets in compliance with utility accounting standards (FERC, GAAP).

Integrate PS with SAP FI, FICA, CO, and PM to support end-to-end project accounting and asset lifecycle management.

Provide expertise in capital project management, progress analysis, forecasting, and resource allocation within a utility environment.

Ensure project structures align with work management and construction processes typical in utilities.

Mandatory Requirements:

SAP S/4 Project Systems Solution Expertise: Experience with designing and configuring SAP PS solutions, including Fixed Assets Accounting, to meet client needs and ensure successful project delivery.

Project Systems Integration with HCM, Supply Chain and EAM, including SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM) & Field Service Management (FSM).

Techno-Functional Solution Knowledge: Experience in utilizing business and industry knowledge, business processes, and techno-functional solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology solutions.

Comprehensive Solution Development: Experience with developing and implementing comprehensive solutions, collaborating with clients and team members to achieve project goals and build trust.

Project Delivery Leadership: Experience in leading and managing projects to ensure successful delivery, leveraging knowledge of the system and working closely with clients to achieve desired outcomes.

Preferred technical and professional experience

SAP Project Systems Implementation: Experience with SAP S/4 PS solutions, including Capital Accounting, with a focus on designing and configuring solutions to meet client needs.

Business Process Integration: Experience in utilizing business and industry knowledge to effectively integrate packaged technology solutions, ensuring seamless delivery and meeting client expectations.

Techno-Functional Solution Expertise: Experience in leveraging techno-functional solution expertise to develop and implement comprehensive solutions, collaborating with clients and team members to achieve project goals.
