Job Description :

We are seeking an attorney to join our commercial trucking / insurance defense team. The attorney will be involved in case management, including trucking / auto pre-suit claims, evaluations and trucking / auto inspections, litigation, discovery, and depositions, reporting to clients.

Required Skills :

The candidate must have strong writing skills for reporting, pleading, and motion practice.

The position requires the person to be proficient with preparing and revising discovery demands, responses, and taking both fact and expert witness depositions.

The candidate must be organized and able to meet deadlines and completion dates.

It is a plus if the candidate has some understanding of the basics of commercial trucking and the mechanics and operations of motor vehicles.

Understanding of basic medical principles and be able to review, understand and evaluate medical records and bills, and have some general understanding of medical billing and liens.

Must be able to work independently and at the same time, work with other team members, carriers, and clients.

Proficient with time entry / billing, Outlook, Adobe, and Word.
