ICU RN Job Details

Location : Marquette, MI 49855 (Upper Peninsula, Michigan)

Healthcare Setting : Level II Trauma Center, 24-bed ICU

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 30 / 2025 – End : 3 / 1 / 2026)

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 hours guaranteed

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

On-Call : No scheduled call; may be placed on call if census drops

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2,100 - $2,250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher

Experience with vented ICU patients

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred : Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, or pediatric DKA

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality clinical care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a Level II Trauma ICU

Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions : post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke with lytics, post-craniotomy, and septic shock

Operate advanced medical equipment : Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen

Document patient care and interventions using Cerner EHR

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Float to other hospital units as required, rotating with other travel nurses

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (scrub colors : galaxy, royal, or navy blue)
