Job Summary
KAI Hawaii, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, accuracy in financial data entry, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to support various accounting functions within a dynamic and professional workplace.
Responsibilities
Enter authorized Accounts Payable entries accurately and promptly into the accounting system.
Communicate payment statuses to staff and vendors.
Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices; proactively follow up on outstanding and delinquent accounts
Perform bank reconciliations.
Process deposits on a timely basis
Assist with monthly General Excise Tax filings.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or certification in Accounting preferred.
Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
Familiarity with invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
Familiarity with general bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
