Job Summary
The Senior Process Engineer will report to the VP of Engineering and will be responsible for leading process design activities, overseeing the development and implementation of industrial air pollution control and wastewater treatment systems. This role ensures that all process engineering work complies with environmental, safety, and performance standards. The position provides technical leadership to engineering staff, fosters cross-functional collaboration, and drives continuous improvement in process design, simulation, and analysis. Responsibilities also include direct involvement in process documentation and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to the project engineering team
- Design, develop, and review process documentation, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and other engineering deliverables for thermal oxidizers, energy recovery, scrubbers, and wastewater treatment systems
- Participate in customer-led process hazard analyses (PHAs)
- Conduct process simulations, modeling, and data analysis
- Review project designs to ensure compliance with environmental and NFPA safety standards
- Collaborate with application engineering, project management, service, and R&D teams to support new equipment sales, troubleshoot existing equipment, and drive technology improvements
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to optimize process design and reduce costs
- Mentor junior engineers and support the development of a high-performance technical team
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and learning
- Perform additional duties as required to ensure efficient use of resources and customer satisfaction

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution10+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systemsPreferred Industry Experience
