Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a dual modality CT / Xray Technologist with an active VA license and at least 2 years of experience for a weekday, day-shift assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an advanced imaging center with a focus on CT and X-ray procedures
  • Perform studies such as CT of the head, abdomen, pelvis, angio, extremities, and routine / stat X-rays
  • Typical workload ranges from 0-15 studies per day, with up to 22 exams in rare cases
  • Uses Epic EMR, Fuji PACS (preferred), and equipment including GE CT and Philips X-ray units
  • Scheduled Monday through Thursday from 07 : 00 to 17 : 30
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • May cover holidays to assist at a different location as needed
  • Black scrubs required
  • Floor-specific orientation is provided at the start of the assignment
  • There is no dedicated IV team, so the technologist must be comfortable starting IVs independently
  • Holiday coverage may be required to support other locations
  • First-time travelers will be considered

    • Requirements

  • Active VA state license required for consideration if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of CT and X-ray experience preferred
  • Certification in AHA BLS, ARRT-CT, and ARRT-R required
  • Strong IV skills required
  • Experience with EPIC and Visage PACS preferred
