Our direct client has an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst # 8367. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will be worked in a hybrid schedule on-site in Phoenix, AZ 10% – however mostly remote. All work must be completed in the United States.

Description :
The Quality Assurance Analyst, Information Technology, is responsible for analyzing requirements to develop test plans, create test cases, and document application defects for internally developed software for both .Net and Oracle applications that are used by both ADOR business units and taxpayers for intermediate, medium-scale projects.
Supervision :
This position does not have direct reports.
Essential Functions :

Quality Assurance Testing
Creates test plans based on requirements documentation to ensure traceability and completeness of test coverage for basic to intermediate, medium-scale projectsDesigns detailed test cases for new applications or updates to existing applicationsPlans and performs testing by creating test data schedules in accordance with project scope or delivery datesDefines regression test plans and test cases for future projectsPerforms retests and rework, as necessaryDocuments test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards40%
Support
Documents results of identified application defects or usability issuesIdentifies process improvement needs and assists management on implementing changes to improve efficiency and productivityDevelops Quality Assurance documentation on processes and standards to be used by the QA team and shares knowledge with team members including cross trainingAdheres to Project Management Lifecycle and TFS standards and other IT and / or QA team processes20%
Requirements Gathering
Participates in requirements gathering and technical analysis to ensure completeness of documentation needed to accurately perform testingWorks with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements15%

Education & Experience
Any combination that meets the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA); typical ways KSAs are obtained may include but are not limited to : a relevant degree from an accredited college or university such as Bachelor’s Degree (e.g., B.A.), training, coursework, and work experience relevant to the assignment.Minimum of two years' experience in quality assurance testing and analysisKnowledge / Understanding
