Job Title : MAG Auditor

Work Schedule : Remote (Local candidates preferred)

Pay Rate : $30 / hour

Employment Type : Contract

Description : As a MAG Auditor, youll play a critical role in ensuring accurate Medicaid reimbursement for healthcare providers. Youll audit financial and statistical cost reporting data, prepare cost settlements, and conduct on-site field auditsprimarily at childrens hospitals. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance regulations and the ability to propose adjustments or recommend policy changes based on audit findings. Youll work closely with providers and internal teams to maintain integrity and accuracy in Medicaid claims processing.

Responsibilities :

• Audit financial and statistical data to determine provider reimbursement rates
• Prepare and sign off on tentative and final cost settlements
• Conduct on-site audits of childrens hospitals and other healthcare facilities
• Perform reconciliation for Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) quarterly wrap payments
• Review provider data for compliance with government procedures
• Recommend adjustments or policy changes based on audit findings
• Support Medicaid claims processing for hospitals, Rural Health Clinics, and FQHCs
