Med / Surg Tele RN Job Details

Location : Sumter, SC 29150 – Prime South Carolina healthcare job location with access to outdoor recreation, dining, and local attractions.

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : November 24, 2025

End Date : February 23, 2026

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1770 - $1820

Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Unit : 7 West / 3 South Nephrology (Med / Surg Telemetry)

Patient Population : Adults and Geriatrics

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Weekend Coverage : Required

Orientation : Every Monday; up to 16 hours of reimbursed pre-assignment modules

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or compact / multistate RN license

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg Telemetry nursing experience

At least 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management

Ability to float to other qualified nursing units as needed

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Travel nurses must live at least 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility (see additional radius requirements for exceptions)

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to adults and geriatric patients on Med / Surg Telemetry units

Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac rhythms; respond rapidly to changes in patient condition

Accurately document all patient care using EPIC EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Pharmacy

Float to other nursing units within the hospital as needed, performing duties within demonstrated competencies

Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for weekend shifts

Complete all required orientation and pre-assignment modules prior to start date
