Follow University Physicians Patient Accounts written procedures to resolve overpayments from insurance companies and patients

Responsibilities :

• To work all assigned task lists, emails daily
• Work overpayments from electronic worksheets for all insurances and patients
• Print all necessary information at the office to complete the refund check process
• Review and process refund request letters from insurance companies
• Ability to scan and index all documentation related to correspondence and EOBs with a minimum of 98% accuracy rate
• Ability to analyze complex accounts
• Make phone calls to patients and calls to insurance companies when appropriate
• Complete all job responsibilities following written procedures
• Complete various projects or assignments as assigned by supervisor
• All duties as assigned
• This position is eligible for University Physicians Work From Home program. Part of the time will be onsite and part of the time will

be from remote.

Shift

M-F : 8 am -5 pm

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Two (2) years of clerical experience; education may be used in lieu of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in patient accounts, medical office, or bookkeeping.

Additional license / certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range : $16.68 - $26.31 / hour

Grade : PAT 005

University Title : PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE, NON-CLINICAL
