Facility Manager

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Facility Manager with a strong background in freight forwarding to oversee our Los Angeles warehouse operations in Compton, CA. This role requires a candidate who understands the complexities of international logistics, cargo handling, and compliance in a fast-paced forwarding environment. What You'll Do :
- Oversee day-to-day logistics operations across the warehouse and inventory control to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant handling of all inbound and outbound shipments
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse and inventory staff to maintain high performance and adherence to SOPs and KPIs
- Ensure proper cargo receiving, cross-docking, storage, picking, staging, and outbound processing based on shipment type
- Manage inventory for multiple clients, ensuring real-time visibility, stock accuracy, and proper documentation for billing and audit purposes
- Coordinate facility readiness for export / import freight, including freight consolidation, container loading / unloading
- Work closely with operations teams to prioritize urgent shipments, troubleshoot service delays, and ensure compliance with client-specific handling instructions
- Oversee facility and equipment maintenance including forklifts, racking, safety systems, and warehouse technology
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant warehouse environment with proper signage, PPE use, and safety protocol training
- Serve as a liaison between the warehouse and office operations to ensure accurate communication, smooth cargo handoffs, and consistent service delivery
- Monitor and report warehouse KPIs and performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing continuous improvement strategies
- Support operational planning for high-volume and project-based freight movements
What You Bring :
Minimum 5 years of logistics / warehouse operations experienceStrong leadership and staff management skillsKnowledge of DOT regulations and facility safety complianceProficiency in Windows, Mac OS, MS Office, and CargoWise OneBilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages is preferredSkilled in safe use of power tools and warehouse equipmentFamiliarity with LAX region is neededExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsStrong Customers Service SkillsForklift Certification Strongly PreferredBenefits and Compensation :
