Veterinary Doctor's Assistant - Critical Care

ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Los Angeles  is seeking a  Veterinary Doctor’s Assistant to join our Critical Care Department!

Our Doctor’s Assistants help to establish the foundation for a trusting and empathetic visit. They collaborate with our doctors by handling administrative tasks, maintaining communication with clients and ensure a smooth daily flow.

Your responsibilities may include :

• Work closely with Board Certified Specialists
• Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients
• Attach necessary records, images, diagnostic results, and other relevant documents to the patient file
• Dispense medications as directed by the veterinarian
• Prepare cost estimates for diagnostics, outpatient treatments, procedures, and hospitalizations, at home care and review them with pet owners.
• Ensure that client consent forms and estimates are signed when required.
• Assist in delivering high-quality, compassionate care for both clients and patients
• Guide clients through the euthanasia process, including assisting with paperwork and aftercare procedures.

At ACCESS, we recognize the importance of those individuals taking such good care of our pets and their families by offering competitive pay starting at  $21 - $26 / hour  (dependent upon experience).

ACCESS Los Angeles also offers  shift differentials ..

Shift hours worked between :

7pm-11pm = additional  $2 / hour

11pm-7am = additional  $3 / hour

any shift on Saturdays and Sundays = additional  $2 / hour
