Responsibilities

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults.

Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations : Week 1 : M-F 8 AM - 5 PM / Week 2 : M & Tu 9 AM - 5 PM

Position Summary

The Driver / Transporter is responsible for transporting patients to and from the hospital; assures vehicles are in proper working order and clean; provides high quality non-medical patient care and ambulatory transportation while providing exceptional customer service. The Driver / Transporter is responsible for assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transportation continuum.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for patients to and from the hospital.
• Coordinates patient pick-up and drop-off routes, completes daily mileage log, ensures all safety measures are adhered to in the vehicle.
• Ensures non-medical ambulance operations while demonstrating excellent driving judgment and due regard for public safety and positioning of the vehicle.
• Maintains a thorough working knowledge of current standards of transportation, including mapping, street and grid book systems.
