Description : RESPONSIBILITIES :
Lead the strategy, fundraising, marketing, communication and execution for a portfolio of fundraising and / or donor relations events to support philanthropic priorities.
Cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of current and prospective corporate and individual donors.
Recruit, secure and manage event host and / or fundraising committee members including effectively communicating the roles and expectations, creating meeting agendas, securing meeting rooms, taking minutes, and sending post-meeting summaries.
Track and report event metrics, post-event analyses and key performance indicators.
Maintain event budgets in accordance with the strategic event team s goals and objectives, while keeping the event fresh and exciting year after year.
Oversee event logistics in partnership with the Northwestern Memorial HealthCare events team. This includes event timeline, mailing list, vendor selection, de cor, design, production of collateral and volunteer needs and recruitment.
Develop and maintain productive and professional relationships with donors, prospects, volunteers, vendors and team members, serving as a link between multiple parties and entities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED :
Bachelor s degree or 4 years equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in a fundraising, community outreach, healthcare or development position with a proven track record, preferably in a non-profit organization
Ability to create and design compelling revenue driven experiences.
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
Occasional travel to Chicago suburbs.
Ability to organize and think independently with orientation to deadline and detail
Demonstrated project management, organizational, analysis and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers and constituents at all levels of the organization
Excellent oral, communication and interpersonal skills
High degree of professionalism, sensitivity and integrity
Strong intellectual curiosity, initiative and highly effective listening / communication skills
Proven ability to meet deadlines, communicate effectively and track details
Demonstrate a high level of flexibility in a team environment
Comfort handling multiple projects, accurately setting priorities on a regular basis, thinking creatively and working as a collaborative team member
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
