Security Guard - Government Unarmed Patrol Driver

As a Security Guard - Government Unarmed Patrol Driver in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will travel throughout assigned areas, remain highly visible, and respond to various situations as needed. Your proactive presence will contribute to a secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible presence.
  • Monitor the premises for unusual activity and / or potential security-related concerns, promptly reporting findings to Allied Universal and site management as required.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and other site-specific activities according to established protocols.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and / or the general public, assisting as needed and addressing inquiries related to site access and protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
