The Value You'll Bring
As a Transportation Representative on our Supply Chain team, you will play a key role in ensuring timely, cost-effective product delivery by coordinating between transportation providers, sales brokers, and customer buyers. You'll support logistics operations by resolving delivery issues, facilitating communication, and maintaining high service standards to keep our customers and shelves stocked efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Carrier & Sales Communication : Serve as the main point of contact between transportation carriers and field sales teams, relaying updates and resolving service issues promptly.
- Real-Time Load Tracking : Use FourKites tracking software to monitor shipments and provide real-time status updates.
- Service Issue Resolution : Notify Customer Service of existing or potential delivery issues, and work collaboratively to minimize disruptions.
- Broker & Sales Updates : Keep sales representatives and brokers informed about any transportation-related challenges or delays.
- Delivery Management : Enter and track delivery data, make decisions on missed appointments, and determine the next best steps for customer satisfaction.
- High-Profile Account Monitoring : Track and report on Spotlight Accounts with prior service issues, ensuring enhanced handling and follow-up.
- Appointment Coordination : Assist with securing and re-scheduling delivery appointments to align with customer expectations and delivery windows.
What We're Seeking
Education & Experience : High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Customer Service, required.Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across teams.Technical Proficiency : Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and order processing software.Analytical & Reasoning Abilities : Solid decision-making skills and the ability to compare options and calculate transactional trade-offs.Multitasking & Problem-Solving : Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and resolve issues quickly in a fast-paced environment.Team Collaboration : Demonstrated ability to work well with others and foster a respectful, team-oriented work culture.Other Skills That Make You Stand Out
