Job description

Hematology / Oncology Physician at GQR Recruiting Resources summary :

The Hematology / Oncology Physician will provide medical care in an acute care hospital setting, managing a daily census of 12-15 patients. Responsibilities include patient encounters, collaborating with support staff, and ensuring timely documentation in the EMR system. Applicants must possess an Arizona medical license and be board certified in Hematology / Oncology, with at least three years of relevant experience.

Duration : Up to 6 months, starting ASAP

Schedule :

  • Days : Monday-Thursday, 7 : 45 AM - 4 : 30 PM
  • Friday : 36 patient hours + 4 hours admin time
  • Frequency : 3-4 weeks / month + 1 weekend of call / month

Responsibilities :

  • Setting : General Medical Oncology, hospital-based, and clinic.
  • Daily Census : 12-15 patients, with patient encounters in the morning and afternoon.
  • Support Staff : Oncologist, Medical Assistants, RNs, Nurse Practitioners, Referral Specialist, Receptionists, Patient Advocate, and Practice Manager.
  • EMR : Cerner

    • Requirements :

  • Licenses : Arizona license required, IMLC accepted.
  • Certifications : Board Certified / Board Eligible in Hematology / Oncology, BLS required, ACLS preferred.
  • Experience : Minimum 3 years in medical oncology.
  • Credentials : DEA required.
  • Vaccines : COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (exemptions allowed).
