SUMMARY
Responsible for performing CT procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved techniques and producing quality scans for physician interpretation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviews medical record for patient history and clinical data for correlation with CT
- Performs CT procedures on patients of every age utilizing approved protocol. Displays knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, and / or physiological data to obtain optimal studies
- Assumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during procedure
- Selects technical factors and imaging mode
- Evaluates images for technical quality and prepares for physician interpretation
- Practices aseptic technique as necessary and / or universal precautions
- Operates CT equipment and monitors function of equipment. Recognizes malfunctions and needs for servicing. Takes appropriate steps to report those needs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current ARRT certification
- Current SCRQSA license
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
