Position Overview
MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide Cath Lab and STEMI call coverage on a locum basis. This long-term opportunity supports the facility during an ongoing permanent search and offers steady 1-week-per-month coverage blocks.
Impella proficiency is the top priority for this client.
Candidates must have recent, hands-on Impella experience , with the ability to manage device insertion, monitoring, and troubleshooting independently.
Experience with pulmonary embolism interventions is a strong plus, but selection will center on Impella capability.
Assignment Details
Schedule : 24-hour beeper call; 1 week per month (exact dates TBD)
Patient Volume : 2 6 cases per shift (Cath Lab focus)
Response Time : 20 minutes
Call Back Rate : 20%
Phone Consults : 1 per day
Admissions : None
Trauma Level : III
Support Staff : 2 RNs, 1 PA / NP, and 1 Office Staff
Privileges : Temporary privileges available for clean histories (credentialing days)
Requirements
Board Certification : Interventional Cardiology (Fellowship required)
Licensure : Active WA license or IMLC eligibility
Certifications : ACLS required
Experience : Recent Impella device experience REQUIRED ; PE treatment proficiency preferred
