Physician Relations Specialist

Description

Under the direction of the medical group operations, this position will provide professional support to the physician practice functions. The position requires independent thinking; a desire to work in collaboration with a high functioning team, strict confidence in dealing with physician compensation, benefit packages and other governance matters. This position requires a high-level generalist who is committed to serving the local medical group, ensuring the diverse needs of physicians are met throughout their employment life-cycle. This role will serve as an integrator and will assist in navigating the partnership with Providence and Providence Medical Foundation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or a high school diploma/GED with equivalent and relevant work experience.
• Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
• 3 years Progressive healthcare environment required, which must include previous Risk Management, Physician Credentialing and Benefit Plan Design experience.
• Medical Group Practice experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
• Experience in on-boarding physician into a Medical Group setting highly desirable.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
