Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager to support our Special Projects Dallas (SPD) team in Berkeley, Missouri.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative and high-performing team. In this role, you will partner with our cross-functional support teams, program leadership, and subject matter experts on process improvements, strategic business transformation initiatives, and lean-based projects to increase efficiency and improve both first-pass quality and safety. Utilizing Root cause corrective action and Lean methodologies, you will have the chance to identify, create solutions, and lead projects that will create value for the program. You will help drive business planning and decision-making, operations, and business insights up and down the BDS value stream.
Position Responsibilities :
- Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
- Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred; or equivalent work experienceLeadership experienceExperience leading and influencing cross-functional teamsExperience leading various problem-solving methods (i.e. Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, or other assessment, audit and investigative models)Experience problem solving and supporting corrective action plansExperience managing cost and schedule performance using Earned-Value Management (EVM) principles, CAM skillsetExperience in fast paced environment with a multi-faceted teamPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :
