Job description

We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Arizona. This opportunity begins on Oct 6, 2025, and runs for 10 weeks, offering a flexible schedule ideal for providers seeking one day per week with visits lasting approximately one hour. The assignment involves delivering advanced wound care in the patient's home, with support from a remote physician as needed. Job Details Location : Arizona Start Date : Oct 6, 2025 LOA : 10 weeks Provider Type Needed : Wound Care Nurse Practitioner Schedule : Flexible, typically 1 day per week, 1-hour visits Responsibilities and Duties Deliver advanced wound care treatment for wounds unresponsive to conservative management for 30 days Use amniotic membrane grafts as the primary treatment modality Perform initial assessments, place orders for synthetic skin or skin grafts, debride, and rewrap wounds Operate independently in the patient's home, following established care plans Consult remotely with an MD during patient visits to address clinical concerns Document all patient encounters and treatment plans using Athenahealth EMR Additional Information Advanced wound care experience preferred Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Arizona Provider should be confident operating solo in a home-based setting Flexible schedule; ideal for providers building their patient volume Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
