Must-Have :

Experience in pediatrics.

Ability to float to PICU when required.

Description :

13-week assignment for Pediatric Registered Nurse.

Shifts are scheduled for three 12-hour nights.

Every other weekend and holiday coverage is expected.

No call duty is required.

Candidates must have two years of experience.

BLS and PALS certifications are required.

Sedation service will perform many off-floor procedures.

The unit works with a variety of pediatric diagnosis.

It is a Level 2 pediatric trauma center.

Multiple pediatric specialties are available on campus.

Experience with bedside shift reporting, AIDET communication, and hourly rounding is essential.

Strong customer service skills and phone etiquette are expected.

Duties may include administration of blood products and chemotherapy (non-initiation monitoring).

Candidates should be comfortable administering anti-seizure medications and managing ports and central lines.

Monitoring pediatric patients’ vital signs, fluid management, and administering insulin are also part of the role.

The daily census averages around 12 patients, with 21 rooms available.

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Candidates will be required to manage pediatric patients, including neonates and adolescents.

Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and PEWS is preferred.

The facility prioritizes infection prevention and safety for all pediatric patients.
