Casual Groundsperson Position

Amherst College invites applications for the Casual Groundsperson position. The Casual Groundsperson is a part-time, casual position with no benefits, starting at $17.00 / hour. The Casual Groundsperson will maintain and care for the College's grounds and structures. The Casual Groundsperson takes appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce and participates in the College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.

Summary of Responsibilities :

• Clean-up of property
• Snow removal
• Raking, lawn mowing, and seasonal outdoor work
• Operation of trucks and other motorized equipment
• Service and inspection of tools and equipment
• Assist other shops within the Facilities Department, which may include moving furniture, books, etc.
