Product Costing Analyst, Manufacturing Finance

Help the business price products confidently, control inventory precisely, and convert operational data into financial clarity. Your work will sharpen ROI decisions, strengthen budgets and forecasts, and keep our manufacturing costs compliant with US GAAP.

Core responsibilities

• Build and maintain standard product / service costs; compare standards to actuals and explain variances.
• Collect, analyze, and present cost accounting data including cost comparisons and product cost analysis.
• Monitor inventory levels; perform and support physical inventory counts.
• Ensure accurate US GAAP reporting of manufacturing costs and inventory balances.
• Assess fixed vs. variable costs to determine total manufacturing cost per product.
• Analyze labor and overhead rates; monitor accumulation of direct labor, overhead, and related manufacturing expenses.
• Prepare monthly / quarterly inventory analyses and management-ready reports.
• Research material costs to maintain data integrity within ERP / accounting systems.
• Drive cost-reduction strategies and support pricing decisions to improve ROI.
• Perform month-end close activities : journal entries, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
• Prepare budget reports; partner across departments to support accurate budgeting and forecasting.
• Support internal and external audits; provide documentation and analysis as needed.
• Review inventory for obsolescence / excess and recommend appropriate adjustments.
• Assist the broader finance team wherever needed and deliver timely reporting to leadership.
