About The Position

Job Title : Surgical Tech

Profession : Surgical Tech

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10H Days

Hours per Shift : 630a-5p with on call of two late shifts per week

Experience : Minimum 1 year of surgical tech experience

License : Required

Certifications : BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Must-Have :

1 year of surgical tech experience

Basic computer skills

Description :

Works under the supervision of the surgeon and RN.

Assists the surgical team by arranging and inventorying sterile set-up of instruments, draping, equipment, and supplies for surgical cases.

Passes items to surgeons and nurses as needed.

Assists in preparing and moving patients, and sterilizing and cleaning instruments, equipment, and rooms.

Maintains sterile technique throughout procedures.

Experience in a specialty field is preferred.

This position may require working standard hours / shifts, as well as flexible hours before and after standard hours / shifts.

Cancellation policy in place for shifts during the assignment.

Charting system utilized is Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient - EMR.
