Senior Product Manager, AI Enablement

Overview

An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy and Salary : This is a hybrid role based in Boston and will require you to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The salary range for this position is $161,000 - $172,500 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units will be provided as part of the compensation package.

As AI grows in capability, the CSEE (Customer, Supplier, and Employee Experience) Technology team is accelerating service interactions with users by automating both the conversation and action-taking on behalf of a user. Whether it’s customer service interactions directly or internal requests such as HR tickets, AI is revolutionizing how teams at Wayfair provide service. Asynchronous tickets are moving to real-time conversations, custom messaging is moving to AI-assisted composition, and complex workflows are being completed automatically via agentic integrations.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to both take a thought leadership role in the design of AI enablement systems (e.g. knowledge curation, data hydration) as well as get into the weeds leading implementations of AI solutions for our users. As part of the CSEE team, you will conduct user research, design AI solutions, and implement interfaces to delight users with immediate service. Together with stakeholders across business orgs and AI tech teams, you will develop roadmaps to scale AI’s impact on Wayfair’s teams.

You are customer and data-obsessed, and love turning quantitative and qualitative findings into insights and strategy to drive product priorities. You have demonstrated success in inspiring and leading a cross-functional team in rapidly delivering value to your customers. You’re one to aim high, calibrate constantly, and know when to double down or fold in pursuit of something even greater.

What You’ll Do

• Create a product roadmap(s) for both system-wide AI enablement as well as individual solutions across multiple business teams. You will own your roadmaps, measure performance, keep your pulse your the customers, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs, and take acceptable risks to maximize the benefit for our customers and business
• Build strong relationships throughout the organization, ensuring transparency across our roadmaps and surfacing opportunities to improve our collective velocity, consistency and / or quality
• Autonomously establish and maintain collaborative, trusting relationships with stakeholders and manage expectations
• Partner closely with Engineering and Analytics teams to execute against your roadmap and continually improve team velocity
• Improve our product in ways that matter most to our users and have the biggest impact on our KPIs by using quantitative and qualitative data
• Work with your product peers and leadership to contribute to improving our product craft and processes throughout the extended Data Engineering team
• Bachelor’s Degree with strong academic record (strong preference for technical / engineering backgrounds)
• 5+ years of product management experience, including recently demonstrated AI-enabled impact. Conversational AI experience is a plus.
• Strong technical background with a passion for breaking down challenging problems
• Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights (preference for working with Google Cloud Platform products such as Google BigQuery, Looker or similar products experiences from another platform)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at the senior leadership level, as well as with cross-functional teams, especially ability to partner with engineering teams and explain technical terminology to non-technical audiences
• Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics
• Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
