We are looking for an Air Pollution Specialist who is knowledgeable and dedicated to join our environmental team. The person who gets the job will be in charge of keeping an eye on, analysing, and coming up with ways to reduce air pollution and make sure that all federal, state, and local environmental rules are followed. To do this job well, you need to know a lot about atmospheric science, rules and regulations, and how to manage air quality.
Duties :
Use the latest tools and software to keep an eye on, measure, and study the levels of air pollution.
Look at and understand air quality data to find patterns, pollution sources, and places that need attention.
Make sure that your company follows the Clean Air Act and all other environmental rules that apply.
Write detailed technical reports and share the results with both internal and external stakeholders.
Make and put into action the best ways to control air pollution.
Tell management about changes in the law and suggest steps to take to stay in compliance.
Look over permit applications and help create the paperwork that regulatory agencies need.
Check out the sites, do audits, and assess the risks of sources of air emissions.
Work with engineers, scientists, and government agencies on projects that help the environment.
Teach employees and the community about air quality and how to stop pollution.
Requirements :
A bachelor's degree in a field related to environmental science, atmospheric science, chemistry, engineering, or something similar is required.
Two or more years of experience in a field related to air quality management, environmental compliance, or something similar.
A lot of knowledge about where air pollution comes from, how to control it, and what the law says about it.
Have used air monitoring tools, data analysis tools, and environmental modelling software before.
Great at talking and writing.
Good at solving problems and paying attention to details.
Ability to work alone and with people from different fields.
Having professional certifications, like being a Certified Air Quality Professional, is a plus.
Pay Rate per Hour :
$28.00 to $50.00 an hour
