What to Expect

Sr. Manager, Consumer Credit is responsible for the strategic focus and overall management of a group of consumer credit teams. Scope of responsibility includes leadership, oversight, and tactical execution of team duties as well as establishing priorities and direction for credit functions within an assigned area. Position requires knowledge and ability to stand in for the Director when necessary. In addition, this role is responsible to ensure credit business activities and processes are efficient, results-oriented, and compliant with industry, legal and regulatory standards.

What You Will Do

1. Performance Coaching

  • Actively lead, mentor and develop Credit Unit leads by holding individual and team coaching sessions to support effective collaboration, professional and personal growth.
  • Provide detailed feedback on coaching techniques and approaches to ensure consistent execution of desired behavior.
  • Complete 1 : 1s with direct reports and skip level meetings to proactively focus on employee development, engagement, and change management.
  • Develop front line managers to effectively analyze data and develop actionable plans to identify and address all areas of opportunity within assigned teams
  • 2. Performance Management

  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of department KPIs and SI while developing strategies to ensure successful execution across all assigned teams.
  • Oversee frontline managers to ensure alignment with assigned goals, service level agreements, and initiatives with the objective of achieving exceptional results.
  • Review monthly reports with Function Head providing analysis of assigned teams strengths, while detailing a plan to address opportunities.
  • 3. Process Improvement Strategy

  • Analysis of operational processes, escalation procedures and training needs identifying opportunities for service delivery improvements that add value to customer experience.
  • Develop initiatives across teams to address key concerns and provide solutions to deficient areas.
  • Prepare presentations to senior leadership recommending service delivery improvements and articulate the delivery of strategic improvements.
  • 4. Compliance, Policy & Procedure Adherence

  • Ensure compliance with HCA policies and procedures through a systematic review of departmental activities coordinating activities through Internal Audit, Compliance, QA, or HCS as appropriate.
  • Proactively assess policies to ensure they meet corporate objectives and are in line with customer satisfaction goals.
  • 5. Coordinate with sales and regional OEM offices to enhance operational effectiveness including dealer training needs and communication.

    6. Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.

    Qualifications

    What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services and underwriting.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive job knowledge of dealer processes and the indirect lending business
  • Product knowledge - retail, lease, and balloon financing.
  • Execution skills (able to lead teams and achieve results from strategies).
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written. Power Point Presentation development and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (relationship building with internal and external customers).
  • Ability to provide coaching and feedback in a constructive and structured manner.
  • Demonstrates high standards (values, integrity, and dependability).
  • Work Environment

    Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an at home and office environment.

    The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
