Grant Manager
A successful candidate will play an active role in the City of College Park's existing operational success. The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, and manage the City's grants programs and administer funding from granting agencies in support of various City projects & programs, and manage applicable Grant's staff.
Independent judgment is required to identify, select, and apply the most appropriate of available guidelines and procedures as well as interpret precedents. The Project Engineer / Grant Manager is responsible submission and implementation of all grants in the City of College Park.
Key responsibilities include :
- Developing, writing, administering, and monitoring financial activities of grant-funding opportunities
- Developing, updating, and implementing policies and procedures relating to grant administration and grant management
- Utilizing grant management systems as required
- Researching various media sources to identify grant funding opportunities
- Processing grant contracts and agreements
- Determining proposal concepts by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs
- Providing financial oversight for the administration of grant funds
- Conducting mock audits on all grant programs
- Assisting in the preparation of grant proposals and associated budgets
- Supervising, directing, and evaluating assigned staff
- Performing other administrative duties as required

Bachelor's degree required, with specific training in grant writing and grants management; Master's degree preferredFive (5) to seven (7) years of experienceKnowledge of municipal operationsAt least two (2) years of management experienceGrants Management Certificate Program (GMCP) training is preferredCertified Grant Management Professional (CGMP) designation is preferredExperience negotiating project agreements and contracts is preferredFederal or local grant management experience is preferredProficiency in MS Office Suite, as well as knowledge and understanding of the organizational structure, workflow, and operating proceduresExtensive hours and weekends will be required at timesPre-employment screening is required : criminal background check and drug testing
