Experienced Cybersecurity Engineer

In this vital role, you'll lead efforts to enhance cybersecurity operations, engaging in system hardening, vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with DoD requirements. We are looking for candidates with a strong foundation in cybersecurity practices and experience with Linux and Windows environments in DoD networks. Collaborate with top-notch security teams to promote overall cyber readiness and system accreditation efforts.

Note : This position is contingent upon the award of a contract, expected in December of 2025.

Clearance Requirements : An active Secret clearance (IT Level II Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) is required. Selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and need to meet eligibility criteria for classified information access. US Citizenship is mandatory for clearance eligibility.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for diverse systems.
• Create and maintain essential security documentation, including :
• Authorization Boundary Diagram
• System Security Plan
• Privacy Impact Assessment
• Continuous Monitoring Plan
• Conduct annual FISMA assessments and perform continuous monitoring of authorized systems.
• Analyze cybersecurity test scan results and assist in documenting findings in the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M).

Qualifications :

Preferred Experience : A total of ten (10) years in roles involving :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.

Compensation : SimVentions offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $160,000 based on experience, education, training, and other relevant factors. This is part of a comprehensive total compensation package.
