Job Title : Patient Transporter
Entity : HUP Department : HUP Patient Transport
Location : Mercy Philadelphia Hospital- 501 S 54th Street, Philadelphia, PA
Hours : Full-Time, 1.00, Shift 1
Summary : Primary duty is to transport patients throughout the medical complex in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. Responds to code calls and as part of the hospital emergency preparedness plans for internal and external emergency management. Assist with patient movement when transferring from bed to wheelchair or stretcher. Transports deceased patients to the hospital morgue. Update tracking system through use of a cell phone to maintain accurate locations and times associated with patient transports.
Responsibilities :
Credentials : Emergency Medical Technician (Preferred) Basic Cardiac Life Support (Preferred) Education or Equivalent Experience : H.S. Diploma / GED (Required) 0-1 years patient transport or direct patient contact (preferred)
