$1,550 to $1,650 per week

About The Position

Prepare the operating room by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies prior to procedures.

Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operations by anticipating instrument and supply needs.

Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure all infection control standards are met.

Handle surgical specimens appropriately and ensure accurate labeling.

Prepare and manage surgical instruments before, during, and after procedures.

Collaborate with circulating nurses and anesthesia providers to ensure safe and efficient surgical flow.

Verify and track surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.

Assist in patient positioning, draping, and equipment setup as needed.

Support postoperative turnover of the surgical suite to prepare for subsequent cases.

Maintain equipment functionality and report any issues or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of recent experience as a Surgical Technician or Surgical Assistant in an acute care or hospital setting.

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent.

Certification through NBSTSA or NCCT (preferred).

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.

Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.

Familiarity with a variety of surgical specialties (e.g., general, orthopedic, vascular, obstetric, gynecologic, and laparoscopic).

Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced surgical settings.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
