JOB SUMMARY
Seasonal associate responsible for and serves as the primary contact for field associate relations and ethics concerns for H&R Block. Investigate associate complaints and provide recommendations for resolution. Provide leadership coaching to leaders on company policies and fair employment practices. Two new hire training dates are scheduled for Monday November 4th, 2024, and Monday January 6th, 2025.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for associate relations concerns at all levels, by counseling associates and leaders; mediating and resolving disputes between associates and leaders; conducting investigations and audits in accordance with federal, state and / or local employment laws, H&R Block corporate human resources policies and H&R Block Code of Business Ethics and make recommendation for appropriate action.
Responds to associate concerns received via telephone, chat, or e-mails and provide guidance and coaching to leaders and associates regarding employment and work-related concerns.
Provide exceptional customer service while addressing associate and leader’s concern while promoting fair employment practices.
Research or investigate and recommend appropriate resolution for complex associate relations concerns while handling a high case volume in a fast-paced work environment.
Ensures detailed documentation of associate relations issues using the case management system.
Ensures all human resources activities are in compliance with H&R Block values and regulatory guidelines; ensures a consistent application of human resources policies and practices.
Partners with AR leadership, P&C Business Partners or field leaders on escalated issues.
Ensure positive interaction with associates and leaders and help to resolve concerns.
Determine eligibility for associate, tax student, or candidate accommodations and engage in a good-faith interactive process in accordance with the ADA.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Remote work environment, however local associates may be required to work at corporate headquarters as needed.
Must have a quiet workspace to support the associate experience.
What you'll bring to the team...
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or other related field or a related discipline in which business knowledge and an understanding of human resources practices are gained
Minimum of five years experience in progress HR generalist responsibility
Minimum of five years of experience preferred in progressive HR generalist or consultant responsibility with extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, including reasonable accommodation experience.
Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws
Demonstrated strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization, strong presentation skills
Strong and objective analytical skills, including solid decision-making abilities, good judgment, conflict resolution experience, the ability to make independent decisions, evaluate people, and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Multilingual preferred – English required
Must have internet speed of at least 15 MPBS - Required

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Understanding and previous use of a Windows-based computer system including Microsoft Teams.
Salesforce or other case management systems, preferred.
Pay Range Information
The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
