Job Title : CVOR Surgical Tech

License : BLS preferred but not required

Certifications : National Certification preferred but not required

Must-Have : Must have 2 years of Adult Cardiac & Vascular Surgical Technologist experience

Description :

CVOR Surgical Tech position available.

Facility has 900+ licensed beds.

It is recognized as a Level 1 Trauma Center.

The facility includes a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma center and a Chest Pain Center.

It is a Teaching Hospital and has a Magnet Designation.

The unit consists of 7 operating rooms dedicated to Adult and Pediatric Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgeries.

Department support includes Cath Lab and Electrophysiology Lab.

Call is required : one night per week and two weekends in a six-week scheduling period.

Scrub colors are personal scrubs to and from the hospital, with hospital-issued scrubs provided in the OR.

The unit culture is described as good.

Experience with adult CVOR case types is required.

Support within the department includes clinical supervisors, charge nurses, OR assistants, anesthesia team, and experienced peer support.

The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.

An orientation will depend on the experience level of the candidate.
